Northern Home for Children's Advocacy Council was created
in 2004 to provide strategic guidance to the Home's management
team and Board of Trustees. Members are a source of advice
and counsel in the achievement of the Home's mission and are
able to determine for themselves how best they can contribute.
Members are, as available, involved in individual meetings
and telephone conversations with agency staff and board members
throughout the year.
The Advocacy Council will meet formally once per year and
as needed at other times. The members of the Advocacy Council
are asked to understand and support Northern Home's mission
of providing assistance to at-risk youth and their families
and to provide insight and recommendations to Northern Home's
management team and Board of Trustees. For more information
and to get involved, please contact the Advocacy Council Chair
at advisorycouncil@northernhome.org.
