Consultation and Education specialists serve as short-term school based management. Students in this program are referred by school personnel for having barriers to learning. The C & E's work closely with school staff and families to provide prevention supports and act as liaisons between the school and the student's immediate community.

C & E's encourage family involvement in the child's behavioral health needs. They provide routine home visits, develop Individual Service Plans (ISP's) for each child, provide teachers and parents with necessary training on behavior management and positive reinforcement and assist teachers in designing individual classroom behavioral strategies.
