 School
based behavioral health services are designed to support children
whose emotions and behaviors make it difficult for them to function
in the normal school setting. Services are provided in selected
schools in the Philadelphia School District by a team of trained
mental health professionals.
School based teams focus on the whole child, including the
school staff and family. Individual counseling, group therapy,
classroom support and behavior modification are all part of
the treatment process to help children develop their ability
to succeed in the school and in life. |
