Social Worker
Summary:
The SCOH Social Worker is responsible for providing services
to and on behalf of children and families referred for SCOH
Services through the Family Services Department. This position
requires working knowledge of community resources, physical
and behavioral health services and educational system. The
social worker should institute the principles of ASFA and
TANF (i.e. safety and employment). The social worker is
responsible to coordinate and advocate for services on behalf
of the family.
• Responsibilities include documentation, planning,
monitoring, communication, direct care and networking.
• Working knowledge of the Child Welfare System
and ability to navigate other systems as well as knowledge
of the use of computers and pertinent software programs
is required.
Requirements:
Education: Minimum requirement is a Bachelors
degree.
Experience: Experience in child welfare.
Working knowledge of clinical issues relating to children,
adolescents and/or families is required.
Special Skills: This position requires
a valid driver’s license and travel through the five
county areas and beyond, ability to lift 20 lbs., ability
to perform SPMCI techniques and to walk up and down stairs.
