Lead Teacher
Summary: Little Friends Early Learning Center,
a new Child Care Center located on the grounds of Northern
Home for Children, is seeking an experienced full time Lead
teacher. The position will be primarily for the Toddler Classroom;
however, some floating may be necessary and a willingness
to work with all age groups is required. Under the direction
of the Daycare Director, you will assume the responsibility
for creating and maintaining a nurturing and loving environment
for the families we serve. Some of the exciting things that
you will do as a Lead Teacher include, but are not limited
to:
- Plan and implement the daily program based on the current
themes
- Supervise the classroom, helping the children to think
creatively, to solve problems independently and respect
themselves and others.
- Maintain a clean, orderly classroom
- Supervise assistant teachers/ aides and delegate responsibility
Requirements:
- Education:
- CDA with minimum of 12 ECE Credits
- Associates Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree in Early
Childhood or related field
Experience:
- Minimum of One (1) year experience working with children
in a childcare setting.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be reliable, trustworthy, dependable, and have a
passion for working with children
- Must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable
interacting with children, parents, co-workers and other
staff.
- Must be physically capable of performing necessary tasks
which include: lifting, carrying, supporting, squatting,
bending, standing and sitting on the floor throughout an
8 hour day
- Must be available to work 7:00 am-6:00pm Monday -Friday.
Hours will vary
- Must be willing to work with all age groups
